This Week : The Integumentary System Cara Crystal Skull Healing

Week Four of the series Cara, who is a beautiful rare large Atlantasite Crystal Skull is offering the healing on our skin, nail, hair and associated glands.

The integumentary system is the largest organ of the body that forms a physical barrier between the external environment and the internal environment that it serves to protect and maintain. 

The Integumentary System helps to protect the body’s tissues and organs, maintain stable body temperature, stops the body from becoming dehydrated by storing water, also. transporting and eliminating waste materials.

It protected against foreign invaders and infections and physical injury.

It reduces harmful effects of UV radiation and it acts as a sensory organ detecting touch and temperature.

It aids nutrition of the body through the synthesis of Vitamin D from the sun.

 

Indicators of of a poor integumentary system is  the skin is vulnerable to injury, allergic reactions, or infection.

Signs of skin problems frequently include acne, pain, bleeding, itching, swelling, redness, rashes or blistering.

Minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises are common and usually heal without a problem.

In addition to the risk of injury or infection, the integumentary system can be affected by various health conditions.

Eczema or psoriasis are skin conditions linked to autoimmune system issues.

Skin can also develop acne, often as the result of overproduction of oil and keratin in the hair follicles.

The skin is also vulnerable to cancer, may be due to over exposure to UV rays.

Hair loss is a common issue.

Hair loss can be related to age and genetics and not the sign of an underlying condition but medication can also cause hair loss.

Fingernails and toenails can develop irregular growth patterns.

This may be due to an underlying condition such as anemia or an injury to the nail bed.

Nails can also develop fungal infections that cause the nails to look discoloured and brittle.

The glands in the integumentary system can develop chronic conditions issues like oily hair and seborrhea dermatitis.

Sweat glands can also become overactive and lead to the overproduction of sweat. This condition is called hyperhidrosis.

 

In this hour’s healing with Cara on the Integumentary system:
